Has anyone here taken a close look at the Lexus RZ 450e? I just stumbled across it and I’m kind of blown away-didn’t know Lexus was this far along with their EVs! The design looks super sharp and futuristic, and I saw something about steer-by-wire and a yoke-style wheel coming in some markets?? Plus, dual-motor AWD as standard.

Would love to hear if anyone’s driven it or has more info on real-world range, charging speed, or how it actually feels on the road compared to, say, a Tesla Model Y or Audi Q4 e-tron. Also, does it have some unique Lexus interior touches that make it stand out? Curious if it lives up to the hype!

Here’s the thing with the RZ 450e: it’s got that typical Lexus interior quality-quiet, plush, minimal fuss-definitely nicer than a Model Y, though maybe not as tech-forward. But here’s the catch: real-world range is pretty average, lower than most competitors (think well south of 250 miles if you’re not gentle), and charging speeds are firmly “2020,” not cutting-edge. The drive is smooth and composed, classic Lexus, but if you want excitement or efficiency, the Tesla still wins. The steer-by-wire and yoke sound cool, but they’re still pretty limited geographically. For comfort and luxury vibes? Absolutely. For groundbreaking EV stuff? I’m still waiting. Would love to hear if someone’s had a contrasting experience.
